I enjoy being involved in the process from start to finish. We have many clients who will rely on us to source appropriate properties for investment that fit with their budget based on both rental return and anticipated capital growth. Holding their hand through the purchase including negotiating the purchase price on their behalf and eventually seeing a tenant move in and paying rent is a superb and rewarding experience.

My first house:

A small modern terraced house in Brough which was great for the shops, pub and always seemed to have someone calling round.

My dream home would include:

A sea view, a pool and preferably its own driving range!

In my spare time/ hobbies:

I have lived in Hull all of my life and support Hull City and have had a season ticket for several years. Otherwise I do enjoy a round of golf and have spent a lot of time refurbishing a property I moved into with my wife two years ago in readiness for the arrival of our first child.

My favourite local restaurant:

Papa’s Fish and Chips – you can’t go wrong.

If you are visiting in October you must go to Hull Fair which holds many years of memories for me growing up. The Deep is also worth a trip and it has been great to see so many events as part of the Hull 2017 City of Culture celebrations which will hopefully be continued in future years.

Best piece of advice

The journey is just as important as the destination.
